2co everyday

Liverpool School of Art and Design

June the 8th 2018

In collaboration with our friends at Liverpool John Moores University

our first 2COeveryday will take place on:
Friday, June the 8th

from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Liverpool School Of Art & Design
John Lennon Art and Design Building - 2 Duckinfield Street
Liverpool - L3 5RD - United Kingdom

For several years the Graphic Design and Illustration course at LJMU has been an educational partner for the 2CO Communicating Complexity International Design Conference.

This June we asked John Moores University to host the first of these “seminar gathering” in Liverpool. It will involve a series of short presentations from academics and professionals and lots of opportunity for discussion between both sides about the challenges of communicating complexity through design.

Animating history: The Sassari Statutes of 1316

Nicoló Ceccarelli
School of Design, University of Sassari, Italy

As part of a larger dissemination project, over the last year we have been working on making the contents an ancient XIV manuscript – the medieval statutes ‘’Statuti’ of the city of Sassari – more accessible to the general public.

The project involves exploring animation as a way to inform, entertain, excite, combining historical facts with storytelling

Just Enough - prototyping methods for today’s interaction models

Adam Todd
Magnetic North, Manchester

Prototyping can be a powerful activity when designing digital experiences. But with a surge in the number of prototyping tools available, there is a tendency for designers to look to the latest or most hyped. Considering what is just enough to document, test and evaluate a design should therefore be the first step when prototyping.
